  • Asset: A physical or logical item tracked within the system (example: hydrant, pipe, sign).

  • Event: An action associated with an asset (example: Inspection, maintenance, work order).

  • Event Spray: A feature to apply the same event across multiple assets simultaneously.

  • Independent Events: These are events that are not tied to an asset. For example, a resident may report graffiti, which would be captured as an independent event and then tied to an asset once the graffiti is confirmed.

  • Map Layers: Visual representations of data sets overlaid on the GIS map.

  • Mass Update: Mass Update is a tool when you need to update shared attributes (example: classification, crew, lifecycle stage) for multiple assets or events at once.

  • Query: A tool for viewing, filtering, and managing data records.

  • Recurring Events: Events that can be added to the schedule that recur on a daily, monthly, or yearly cadence.

  • Time Blocks: An event to block off time on an individual’s calendar that does not recur.
