Clear the Google Chrome Cache

This article will show you how to clear the cache for the Google Chrome browser.

Important Note:

Ensure that the Time Range is set to All time when clearing your cache.

Instructions

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser:A computer desktop screen with the Google Chrome browser icon highlighted.

  4. On the Delete browsing data dialog, ensure you are viewing the Advanced tab:The Delete browsing data dialog box with the Advanced tab highlighted.

  5. Review each information field and check the checkboxes to the left of the information you wish to remove:The Advanced tab of the Delete browsing data dialog window with the checkbox options highlighted.

    • Time range: Select All Time from the dropdown list

    • Browsing history: Clears your browser history and any address bar auto-completes

    • Download history: Clears your download history

    • Cookies and other site data: Signs you out of most sites

    • Cached images and files: Clears cached images and files

    • Passwords and other sign-in data: Clears passwords

    • Autofill form data: Clears auto-fill data for forms

    • Site settings: Clears saved site settings

    • Hosted app data: Clears hosted app data

  6. Click the Delete data button:The Delete browsing data dialog box on the Advanced tab with the Delete Data button highlighted.

  7. The Google Chrome cache has been cleared
