Important Notes

  • There are no restrictions on the storage capacity for uploads; however, it is important to consider the download speed of large files while in the field. Be aware that proprietary files might not be available on some computers due to software constraints.

  • Unsupported file types include: .EXE (Executable), .COM (Command), .DLL, .MSI (Microsoft Software Installer), .BAT (Batch), .CMD (Command), .SH (Shell), .PL (Perl), .VBS (Visual Basic Script), .PY (Python), .PHP, .JS, .TS (Transport Stream), .TSX (TypeScript XML), and .SQL

  1. View an asset’s Documents

  2. On the Documents tab, click the New Document button

    New Document button.

  3. Click the Drop or Browse Attachment button to browse your system’s files to attach the document:Drop or Browse Attachment button.

  4. Select any of Display, Public, and Group
    Display, Public, and Group options.

    • Display: Only works with image file types and shows a thumbnail on the main properties tab. Only one image can be set to display at a time

    • Public: Indicates whether a document can be released outside of the organization

    • Group: Allows the attached image grouping tab when enabled

  5. Once uploaded, you can date the document and associate a user. The defaults are set to today’s date and the current user who is logged in:

    Date and User fields.

  6. Click Save
