Create and Manage Crews

Crews represent organized groups of workers who are assigned to perform tasks and complete work in the field. Crews help streamline operations by grouping staff members based on roles, skillsets, or the types of work they perform. This structure supports better coordination, scheduling, and tracking of work-related activities.

Function of Crews

  • Work Assignment: Easily assign events, such as inspections, repairs, or maintenance, to specific crews instead of individual users, saving time and ensuring the right teams are dispatched.

  • Resource Management: Associate equipment, vehicles, and other resources with specific crews to track usage and availability.

  • Labor Tracking: Monitor time spent by crew members on various events to support reporting or budgeting needs.

  • Scheduling: Improve scheduling accuracy by knowing which crews are available, where they’re working, and what skills they offer.

Where Crews Are Used

  • Event Creation: When creating an event, such as a Work Order or Inspection, you can assign a crew to manage and execute the task.

  • Reports and Queries: Filter and analyze event history or productivity by crew to assess performance and allocate future resources effectively.

Create a Crew

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Click the Create button
    Create button in the Asset tab.

  3. Click Crew in the alphabetical list
    The Crew option in the Asset list.

  4. Type a Name for the Crew
    The Name text input field.

    • Example: Road Maintenance Crew

  5. Click Admin or Member for each person on the crew
    Admin and Member assignment buttons in the Admin or Member columns.

    • Admin: This user can manage the crew

    • Member: This user is a part of the crew

  6. Click Save
    The Save button under the Crew member table.

Edit a Crew

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Search for the name of the Crew
    A Crew name in the Search text entry field.

  3. Select the Crew
    A crew in the Asset Search list.

  4. Select Admin or Member to add or remove someone from the crew
    Admin and Member assignment buttons in the Admin or Member columns.

  5. Click Save
    The Save button under the Crew member table.

Delete a Crew

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Search for the Crew
    A Crew name in the Search text entry field.

  3. Select the Crew
    A crew in the Asset Search list.

  4. Click the Delete button
    The Delete button under the Crew member table.

  5. Click the Delete button to confirm
    The delete button to confirmation deletion of the Crew.
