Integrated GIS Map

The integrated GIS map allows users to view asset locations spatially, filter the types of assets or events displayed, zoom in and out, pan across the map, and select specific layers. Users can also click on individual assets to view additional property details, providing a dynamic and interactive way to manage and analyze infrastructure data.

Navigation Tips

  • Click and drag to pan

  • Use the scroll wheel on your mouse or + or - to zoom. On a touch screen, use pinch to zoom

  • Click on an asset icon to view details or create an event

Legend Control

The legend panel shows what types of assets and data are currently displayed on the map. You can:

  • Toggle visibility of layers (example: hydrants, roads, storm drains)

  • Change the background

Address, Intersection, and Landmark Searching

By using the search bar highlighted, you can search for addresses, intersections, and landmarks. To search for an intersection, use the “&” symbol between the streets (example: M Street & South 16th Street).

Filter Layers

  1. Begin by clicking the Map tab on the left side of the screen.

  2. You will then see a list of different asset categories appear under the Legend. By clicking on the dropdown arrow on the left side of the category, the asset classes in that category will drop down:

  3. By checking the box of a parent asset, you will check the boxes of all nested layers:

  4. You may individually click the boxes on the right side (in white) to show specific classes on the map:

  5. You can also use this tool to change the background map view, as shown below:
