Integrated GIS Map

The integrated GIS map allows users to view asset locations spatially, filter the types of assets or events displayed, zoom in and out, pan across the map, and select specific layers. Users can also click on individual assets to view additional property details, providing a dynamic and interactive way to manage and analyze infrastructure data.

Navigation Tips

  • Click and drag to pan

  • Use the scroll wheel on your mouse or + or - to zoom. On a touch screen, use pinch to zoom

  • Click on an asset icon to view details or create an event

Legend Control

The legend panel shows what types of assets and data are currently displayed on the map. You can:

  • Toggle visibility of layers (example: hydrants, roads, storm drains)

  • Change the background

Address, Intersection, and Landmark Searching

Use the Address / Intersection Search bar to search for addresses, intersections, and landmarks. To search for an intersection, use the & symbol between the streets. For example, “M Street & South 16th Street”.

Filter Layers

  1. Sign In to Asset Management

  2. Click the Map tab
    Map tab in Asset Management.

  3. Click the dropdown arrow for a category

  4. Check a parent box or individual boxes in the category

    1. Check the box of a parent asset to check the boxes of all nested layers

    2. Click individual boxes to show specific assets on the mapIndividual asset checkboxes.

Change Map Background

  1. Sign In to Asset Management

  2. Click the Map tab
    Map tab in Asset Management.

  3. Scroll down to the Background category
    Background category.

  4. Click the dropdown arrow to expand the Background category, if necessary

  5. Click a radio button for the desired map background

    Background option button.
