Add & Manage Permission Sets

This article will show you how to create and manage Permission Sets in the HCMS. Permission Sets contain Groups pulled from your Organization and Clients you set up in your HCMS. In a Permission Set, you can assign what Roles these groups and clients have for content or assets.

Create a Permission Set

Who can use this feature?

Owner | Developer

  1. Navigate to Settings and select Permission Sets: Settings tab in left navigation with Permission Sets selected in sub-menu.

  2. Scroll to the bottom, if needed, and enter a Name for your Permission Set: Permission Set name field.

  3. Click Add Permission Set: add permission set button next to field name.

  4. Assign Permissions to Groups and Clients

Modify the Name of a Permission Set

Important Note on Modifying Permission Set Names

  • The name can only contain:

    • Letters

    • Numbers

    • Dashes

    • Spaces

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings and select Permission Sets: Settings tab in left navigation with Permission Sets selected in sub-menu

  2. Click inside the Name box of any Permission Set and make changes: Permission Sets Name Field.

  3. Click the Save button: save button next to permission name.

Delete a Permission Set

This will only delete assigned permission levels per Permission Set, it will not delete any Groups or Clients.

  1. Navigate to Settings and then select Permission Sets: Settings tab in left navigation with Permission Sets selected in sub-menu.

  2. Click the trash can icon next to the permission set you wish to delete: Trash Can icon next to permission.

  3. Reply Yes to the pop-up that asks Do you really want to remove this Permission Set?: Yes button on remove permission set pop-up.
