Mass Notification to Web Central News Flash Integration

Prev Next

This article will walk through how to set up an integration between the Mass Notification and the Web Central News Flash module.

When an alert is posted to a group in the Mass Notification, a News Flash item will be published to a designated News Flash category and the content will be posted to any applicable News Flash widgets.

Important Notes

  • When the News Flash item is created in Web Central, no stop date or time is set.

  • Alerts cannot be updated from the Mass Notification. Once the News Flash item is created by the integration, it must be manually modified from the Web Central back-end.

  • Subscriber options for email and SMS should be disabled for the News Flash categories used in the integration.

  • News Flash items can still be created and posted on the website separately, but would not be distributed through Notify Me.
