Email Part of a Code of Ordinances

This article will show you how to email part of an online code of ordinances.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the portion of code to be emailed using the Search or jump to Box or the Table of Contents:An online hosted code with the Search or Jump To field and an item in the Table of Contents highlighted.

  2. Select the Email button (blue and white envelope icon) in the icon tray above the section of code to be emailed: A section of code is open for viewing with the Email icon highlighted.

  3. Ensure the checkboxes next to the desired Articles or Sections are checked:The Email panel is extended and the code sections to be emailed have their checkboxes filled.

    Note:

    The currently selected article or section will be checked automatically. Use the blue + and - buttons to expand or collapse the list of options, and check or uncheck articles and sections of code as desired.

  4. Click Next:The Email Code panel is opened and the Next button is highlighted.

  5. Fill in the email fields:The Email panel is open with the To, CC:, Subject, and Message fields highlighted.

    • To (required): Input one or more email addresses that will receive this message

    • CC: Input email addresses that will be carbon copied on this message

    • Subject: This field auto-populates with text including the number of links being sent and the name of the publication, but it can be edited

    • Links being sent: This field auto-populates with links to the selected content

  6. Click Send:The Email panel is expanded and the Send button is highlighted.
