Live Mode: Link Documentation to Text

Prev Next

Two pop-up windows comprise this step: the Legislative History pop-up window, and the Edit Municipal Code pop-up window.

Instructions

  1. Select the node where the documentation (History) should apply.

  2. Click Edit in the content area.

  3. Click the Documentation button in the web text editor's toolbar. A pop-up will reveal the node's History, where its documentation may be edited or deleted. Deleting documentation in this popup will not delete the document from the "gavel," or the Document Library.

  4. In the Legislative History pop-up, click "Link Documentation" to reveal the "Edit Municipal Code" pop-up.

  5. Select which Action applies. The scanned ordinances/resolution should reveal the correct legislative action. To learn all of the software's legislative actions, read the Legislative Actions article.

  6. In the By drop-down menu, select the substantiating document that was named and uploaded in the first step.

  7. The Detail field is usually left blank but may include any additional details. Text added to this field will become part of the documentation's link.

  8. Select Update to apply the new history item, or Cancel to go back to the "Legislative History" pop-up.
