User Guide | First-Time Authentication Sign In

Prev Next

Starting June 28, 2025, Online Code Hosting will begin using CivicPlus' secure sign-in system, Single Sign-On (SSO), also known as Authentication. If you save your code searches or are a MuniDocs or MuniPRO user, you have to sign in to access the Dashboard with those features. This guide will walk you through the steps required when you sign in for the first time.

Important Notes

  • If you are a regular Online Code Hosting user or an IP authenticated user, you will not need to follow these sign-in procedures. You will only need to follow these sign-in procedures if you already access a Dashboard to view your saved code searches or are a MuniDocs or MuniPRO user.

  • If your organization already uses a custom identity provider (IdP) with another CivicPlus product, our Authentication solution will automatically detect your email and route you through your existing IdP. This enables seamless CivicPlus Single Sign-On across all your CivicPlus products. For more information about CivicPlus Single Sign-On, view our Account Management resources.
