Camera Troubleshooting Guide

In some parts of Community Development, you can add documents and pictures to records. For example, you might attach a picture of a property to a parcel, or a job site photo to an inspection.

There are two places where you can take pictures. One is on the staff side of Community Development. The other is through our mobile app.

General Tips

  • Check that your version of the operating system and browser are supported. Browser and Device Support

  • Check to make sure your device is equipped with a camera. Not all devices have front and back cameras.

  • Check to make sure your camera is not covered with a privacy screen.

  • Install the latest drivers. Make sure your operating system, browser, and camera drivers are up to date. You may need to work with your IT department.

  • Make sure that you have given your browser permission to access the camera.

  • Check that your camera works by using a built-in app. Most operating systems and devices have a camera app you can use to see if the camera is working.
