Create & Manage Complaint Types

Container Admins can configure the Complaint Types and Sub-Types available for the application. This list will populate in applicable dropdowns throughout the modules. You can choose which types you would like to display on the Citizen Portal.

Manage Complaint Types

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools and select Database Management:Database management navigation.

  3. Select Complaints Module:Complaints module.

  4. To create a new complaint type, scroll down to the Add New Entries To List section and fill out the complaint type name in the blank box:Add new entry name.

  5. Or, you can edit the name of an existing type under the Current List section:Edit complaint type name.

  6. Choose Show On Portal or Hide in Portal from the dropdown, this will determine the visibility of the complaint type in the Citizen Portal:Show or hide in portal dropdown.

  7. Scroll down and click Save List:Save list.

Manage Complaint Subtypes

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools and select Database Management:Database management navigation.

  3. Select Complaints Module:Complaints module.

  4. Click the Complaint SubType Relation button in the right panel:Complaint subtype relation.

  5. Select the Request Type you would like to manage subtypes for:Select request type.

  6. To edit an existing sub-type, you can change the Value (name) and choose to Show/Hide on the Portal:Edit existing subtype.

  7. To create a new sub-type, scroll down to the New Values to Associate section and add a name to the blank Value field:New value.

  8. Click the Save button:Save button.
