Insurance Types | Elevate (V5)

This article explains how to create and manage insurance types. Insurance types are used to categorize insurance information and can be selected during permit setup and processing.

Important Note:

This article applies to Elevate V5 permit applications. If your system matches the V4 image below, you may be using a different version. Please visit the V4 Manage Insurance Data guide instead.

View

View existing insurance types. Insurance types are displayed alphabetically in the insurance type list.

  1. Sign in to your site:

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools:

  3. Select the Permits tile:

  4. Select the Insurance Types tab:

  5. View the list of Insurance Types:

    Insurance types overview, including E&O, Exempt, General Liability, and Homeowners.


Add an Insurance Type

Create an insurance type to categorize insurance information used during permit setup and processing.

  1. Sign in to your site:

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools:

  3. Select the Permits tile:

  4. Select the Insurance Types tab:

  5. Click the Add Insurance Type button:

  6. Enter the Insurance Type Name:

  7. Enter the Insurance Type Code:

  8. Click the Save button:

Edit an Insurance Type

Update the name or settings of an existing insurance type.

  1. Sign in to your site:

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools:

  3. Select the Permits tile:

  4. Select the Insurance Types tab:

  5. Make changes to the name and/or code as needed:

    The Insurance Type Name and Insurance Type Code fields are highlighted, prompting the user to edit them.

    Note:

    Standard values cannot be edited and appear in gray.

  6. Click the Save button:

    A list of insurance types with corresponding codes and a highlighted save button.


Delete an Insurance Type

Delete an insurance type that is no longer needed.

  1. Sign in to your site:

  2. Navigate to Admin Tools:

  3. Select the Permits tile:

  4. Select the Insurance Types tab:

  5. Click the Trashcan icon next to the Insurance Type you want to delete:

    Note:

    Standard values cannot be edited and appear in gray.

  6. On the confirmation window, click the Delete Insurance Type button:
