Admin Training helps administrators learn how to manage and maintain their Community Development solution. Through eight training topics, you will build the knowledge and confidence needed to use administrative tools, configure settings, and support your organization.

This article explains what is included in the training, what you will learn, and how to complete the training successfully.

Important Note:

If you do not have Container Administrator permissions in your system, you will not be able to complete the tasks in this guide. Please contact your administrator for assistance.

Welcome to Admin Training!

This training series helps administrators learn how to manage and maintain their Community Development solution. Through eight short topics, you will learn the tools and settings used to support your organization every day.

By the end of this training, you will understand how to:

  • Manage users and accounts

  • Configure workflows

  • Update organization settings

  • Manage fees and financial settings

  • Work with forms

  • Use GIS features to support records and inspections

  • Use and support the Citizen Portal

  • Use administrative tools with confidence

Training Overview

Admin Training is a self-paced video series designed for System Administrators and Container Administrators.

The training is organized into eight topics that build your understanding of system administration. Each topic focuses on a key area of the platform and includes practical information you can apply right away.

We recommend completing the topics in order, but you can return to any section whenever you need a review.

After completing the series, you will have a strong foundation for managing your Community Development solution and supporting your users.

Fee and Financial Processing

Set up fees, manage payments, create default fees, and configure itemized fees for records.

Create, edit, and publish forms used by staff and applicants.

Manage parcel and property information, maintain building records, and use Geographic Information System (GIS) maps and layers to support records and inspections.
