Prev Next

You can customize how content is indexed and displayed in both internal and public-facing site search by configuring search settings within your HCMS content models. These tools allow you to fine-tune search behavior, improve relevance, and ensure users see meaningful, consistent results.

Define a Search Title

Each content type can specify which field should be used as the search title during indexing. This title appears in both internal search and public site search results.

Instructions

  1. Sign In to the HCMS

  2. Select a Content Type

  3. Click the Search tab

  4. Identify the field or fields that should be used as a title

    Note:

If a search title is not defined, none of the entries in that content type will appear in search results.

To help prevent this, HCMS will display a warning in the content model editor if no search title is configured.Example warning stating that a search title is not configured.
