CSG Forte Payment Terminal Troubleshooting Guide

This article will demonstrate troubleshooting tips post-setup of CSG Forte payment terminals.

Disclaimer

CivicPlus team members will help troubleshoot issues with API connectivity and API errors. However, CivicPlus Support is not permitted to troubleshoot terminal errors from your payment terminal. Those errors should be reported to your IT department, CSG Forte, or hardware manufacturer.


Prerequisites

Before following the steps in this guide, please complete the setup process.


Run the Device Driver as an Administrator

  1. Right-click on the program and click Run as administrator eDynamo menu showing 'Run as administrator' option for a file in Windows Explorer.

  2. It will ask you if you want to set up the eDynamo, select Yes eDynamo setup prompt asking if the user wants to proceed with installation.

  3. If you have already installed the drivers you should select Repair and then Finish MTSCRA WEBAPI Setup wizard showing repair option and finish button.

  4. Run a test transaction and you should see a screen similar to the following CSG Forte payment terminal displaying card insertion prompt and action buttons for user interaction.

    Note:

    If you are still not prompted to interact with the payment terminal, reach out to your IT department or CSG Forte for further assistance.
