Generate the Embed Code

Who can use this feature?

Organization Owners

  1. Sign in to the Organization

  2. Select AI Agents in the navigation menu

  3. Select Resident Agents

  4. Select the applicable agent from the list or create a new agent

  5. Configure the agent’s Display URL(s)
    Input fields for Display URL and Hidden Paths.

    Note:

    The Display URL dictates the base link on which the agent can be embedded.

    • This field may not be left blank.

    • This field reduces the risk of bad actors attempting to embed a widget onto a website that is not on the allowed list.

    • Hidden paths are optional, and dictate any subpages on which the widget is not to display. Leave the field empty if you wish the agent to appear on all paths. Use a comma to separate multiple paths.

  6. Click Save to save any changes

  7. Click Embed Code
    The Embed Code button on the Edit Resident Agent page.

  8. Copy the code that is generated to your clipboard

    Note:

    The embed code may only be embedded onto the websites dictated by the Display URL.


Send the Code to Support

You can now send the copied embed code to CivicPlus Support, who will add it to your site.
