Personal Access Token

Personal Access Tokens can be added to your CivicPlus Single Sign-On account.

Important Note

Tokens expire after a maximum of one year, and each user can have up to 20 active tokens.

Add a Token

  1. Sign in to your account

  2. Select the Password and Security tab
    The Password and Security tab on the account management page.

  3. Enter the information for your token
    Fields to add a new personal access token with description and expiration date.

    • Description: Add a short description of your token

      Note:

      Only numbers and letters are allowed (no spaces or special characters). The maximum length is 12.

    • Expiration Date: Choose the date and time that the token will expire (in Universal Coordinated Time)

      Note:

      Tokens expire after a maximum of one year.

  4. Click Add Token
    The Add Token button under the personal access token fields.

  5. Copy the token
    Personal Access Token displayed with instructions to copy it securely for future use.

    Note:

    Make sure you copy the token. CivicPlus does not store the information and you will not be able to see the token again.


Revoke a Token

  1. Sign in to your account

  2. Select the Password and Security tab
    The Password and Security tab on the account management page.

  3. On the Personal Access Token section, click Revoke next to the applicable token
    Personal Access Token section with the Revoke button highlighted.

  4. Click Confirm Revoke on the pop-up that says, Are you sure you want to revoke this token?
    Confirmation dialog for revoking a token with options to confirm or cancel.

  5. The token will be removed from your account
