Cost Centers

Overview

Cost Centers are used as a way of reporting on the revenue/expenses of different centers/locations.

Cost centers serve as a mirror to common financial systems and create a way of categorizing GLs for our larger organizations that have a lot of locations but do not want to create multiple versions of the same GL codes for each location.
 
As an example,  you could report on the "Aquatics" account by Cost Center and get a breakdown of that GL code per Cost Center.

Cost Centers are generally tied to the location that adds to the cost of running that activity/rental/etc.
