“Financial Settings” takes care of all of your input preferences for Fee Add-ons, Discounts, GL Configurations, Cost Centers, Tax Types, and Payment Types.
Navigate to Configurations > Financial Settings > Cost Centers
Cost Centers in CivicRec represent departments, locations, or another type of unit or group within an organization to which costs may be associated for accounting purposes. They are typically utilized for expense tracking.
Workstations represent physical terminals/workstations at a given location. For example if you had a front desk with two PCs, you could have "Front Desk A" and "Front Desk B" as workstations. In closeout you can see how much a given cash drawer should have. Also useful for general record-keeping.
Upon logging in, indicate what workstation you're working at.
