Migrate Forms from the Forms Module to Form Center

Important Notes

  • Previously Submitted Data
    • When you migrate a form from the Forms Module to the new From Center, all previously submitted data will transfer to the new Form Center with the form.
    • User submitted data will still be available to sort, view, print, and export in the Forms module.
  • Previously Linked Forms
    • The link to the migrated form will not look the same as it did previously.
    • All links will still work despite the new look
      • Any links to the form that already existed before the migration will still work, even if they look different than the new link to the form.

Migrate Categories & Forms All at Once

Note: Only System Administrators and Owners (of the module) can complete the migration process for categories and forms all at once.

  1. Login to the admin side of the website
  2. Go to Modules > Content > Form Center
  3. Click the Legacy Forms tab at the top of the module
  4. Click Bulk Actions and select Preserve Category Structure.
  5. Put a checkmark next to the category you want to migrate. (You may select multiple categories)
  6. Click on the Migrate button.
  7. Click Ok on the pop up message
    • The Form Center will now return you to the Main Tab
    • Select the migrated category
      • Check your forms to ensure that they are formatted correctly and make any changes if necessary
      • Publish the migrated forms using the Action dropdown to make them available to the public.

Migrate Forms to a New Category

Note: Only System Administrators and Owners (of the module) can Modify a Category

  1. Login to the admin side of the website
  2. Go to Modules > Content > Form Center
  3. Click the Legacy Forms tab at the top of the module
  4. Click Bulk Actions and select Place in a new category
    • Type the name you would like the new category to be called.
  5. Select the category that contains the Form(s) you wish to migrate.
  6. Place a checkmark in the boxes next to the forms you wish to migrate into the new category.
  7. Click on the Migrate button.
  8. Click Ok on the pop up message
    • The Form Center will now return you to the Main Tab
    • Select the newly created category
      • Check your forms to ensure that they are formatted correctly and make any changes if necessary
      • Publish the migrated forms using the Action dropdown to make them available to the public.

Migrate Forms to an Existing Category

Note: Only System Administrators and Owners (of the module) can delete a Category

  1. Login to the admin side of the website
  2. Go to Modules > Content > Form Center
  3. Click the Legacy Forms tab at the top of the module
  4. Click Bulk Actions and select Place in an existing category
    • Select the existing category from the drop down list.
  5. Select the category that contains the Form(s) you wish to migrate.
  6. Place a checkmark in the boxes next to the forms you wish to migrate into the existing category you selected from the drop down list in Bulk Actions.
  7. Click on the Migrate button.
  8. Click Ok on the pop up message
    • The Form Center will now return you to the Main Tab
    • Select the category
      • Check your forms to ensure that they are formatted correctly and make any changes if necessary
      • Publish the migrated forms using the Action dropdown to make them available to the public.
