Justifacts is a background check provider that can be used for pre-employement checks. In order to use the integration you must:
- Have an existing account Justifacts
- Contact Support with your Justifacts package ID(s).
- Have manual roles turned on. CivicHR support will do this for you automatically. For more information on roles and how they work, please see this article.
Setting up default packages
You may set a default package to be pre-selected per job. This is an optional step. For instance, for all your police recruits you run the same background check and you want to ensure that the same check is run each time. To do this, go to the job and open it. Click on “Justifacts Background Check” and select your package.
Initiating a Background Check
To start a background check, you can submit orders to justifacts by going to the “Justifacts” tab on the candidate.
If a default had been set that will be pre-selected for you. Select your package and click “Submit to Justifacts”.
Once you click submit, your pending order will appear. Each “Report” has an order number. In the example of above, the order number is 2077775. At this point, Justifacts will send an automated email to the candidate instructing them to complete their forms. The Order Status will show as “Initiated”.

Once the candidate has completed their information in Justifacts the Order Status will be updated to “In Process: Justifacts.”
Once Justifacts has completed their check the results will be posted back in CivicHR under “Result Status” and the Order Status will be “Complete”.
