Compression applies to .JPG and .PNG files only, and will not resize images smaller than 2600 by 2600 pixel size. Any images larger than 2600 by 2600 pixel size will compress down to that size. After compression and refreshing, the image size for both the original and compressed files will appear on the image. Compression occurs at the same time the image uploads to your site.
Compression makes the image smaller, which helps with the overall performance and speed of your site. Your HCMS stores both the original and the compressed file so that the system can use the original file for high-quality thumbnails that repeat throughout the system, and so that we can use the compressed file on pages and other applicable areas.
