This article will show you how to create and manage Content Elements.

Add Content Elements

Who can use this feature?

Owner | Developer | Publisher | Author (submit for approval)

  1. Sign in to the HCMS

  2. Navigate to Content and select the Content Type you would like your item to be under: Content tab in left navigation.

  3. Select the New button at the top new element button.

  4. Select your desired Permission Set: select permission from drop-down menu.

  5. Fill in the fields for your content element element fields.

    Note: The fields will vary based on the Content Type selected.

  6. Select your Categories and add any relevant Tags: categories and tags.

  7. Select Save: save button.

  8. If needed, change the status of the content on the Workflow tab: change status of content.

    Note: Workflows can be created for specific content types.

  9. If you selected Save and change to Published, configure Notifications: notifications publish.

    • Notify users of modified content item? Choose when to send a notification or to not send one at all

    • Scheduling: Choose to publish immediately after you click Confirm or choose to publish at a later date/time

  10. Click Confirm: confirm button.

Edit Content Element Categories

Who can use this feature?

Owner | Developer | Publisher | Author (submit for approval)

  1. Sign in to the HCMS

  2. Navigate to Content on the left-hand side and select the Content Type that contains the element you wish to update Content tab in left navigation.

  3. Click on the content element Content Element.

    Note: Avoid clicking on the element name which will only open an editor box to update the name.

  4. Scroll down and select the CategoriesContent categories.

  5. Click Save: Save button.

  6. Choose Notifications options and click Confirm confirm notifications.

Copy a Content Element

Who can use this feature?

Owner | Developer | Publisher | Author (submit for approval)

  1. Sign in to the HCMS

  2. Navigate to the Content tab and select the relevant Content Type: Content tab in left navigation.

  3. Click the Actions menu next to the desired element and select Clone: Clone option in Actions menu.

  4. Change any desired fields (will vary by Content Type): Element fields.

  5. Select Save at the top of the page: Save button.

  6. If needed, change the status of the content on the Workflow tab: Workflow Status.

  7. If you selected Save and change to Published, configure Notifications: Notifications options.

Delete a Content Element

Who can use this feature?

Owner | Developer | Publisher

  1. Select Content on the left-hand side and select the relevant Content Type: Content tab in left navigation with Event selected.

  2. Select the Actions (three dots) button on the content element and click Delete: action menu with Delete selected.

  3. Reply Yes to the pop-up that reads Do you really want to delete the content? Yes button on the Delete content popup.
