Frequently Asked Questions
How is the customer identifier CUSTIDENT determined?
The customer identifier is limited by Tempus to 25 characters and the letters A to Z. We take the first name and last (if provided) and strip all spaces. If the name is not provided, the email (without special characters) will be used.
How is the transaction identifier, aka TRANIDENT, determined?
The TRANIDENT is limited to 25 characters. CivicPlus Pay uses the first 25 characters of the Pay Transaction ID as the TRANIDENT.
For refunds, those are essentially a new transaction where a payment is remitted back to the customers. The TRANIDENT will match the CivicPlus Pay transaction for the refund, not the original transaction.
For example:
-
Original Transaction: ab861279-1c77-4668-afe0-83fa844548e9
- TRANIDENT: ab861279-1c77-4668-afe0-8
-
Refund: f882cf27-cfa4-4982-80ec-b55ea1f61b65
- TRANIDENT: f882cf27-cfa4-4982-80ec-b
Does the Tempus integration support ACH?
No, only credit and debit cards are acceptable forms of payment.
What payment terminals can I use to take credit cards with Tempus?
Please see our hardware article for up-to-date information.
My transactions are coming not through on the right RNID, how do I find the correct one?
Regardless of your settings in CivicPlus Pay, Tempus associates the transaction with the RNID that was used to activate PaymentMate. Open PaymentMate and you will see the RNID that is used at the top.
