Emails that are considered non-transactional are typically expected to be sent out from CivicPlus Notifications to our service provider within an hour of being received but in some cases could take up to 24 hours. Our service provider attempts to deliver emails to the Internet within a few seconds of receiving each request. However, due to a number of factors and the inherent uncertainties of the Internet, we can’t predict with certainty when your email will arrive, nor can we predict the exact route the message will take to get to its destination.
Transactional and Non-Transactional Emails
-
Transactional Emails: These are messages triggered by a user’s interaction with a service or a website. They typically involve facilitating or confirming a transaction or providing essential information related to a user’s action. Examples include order confirmations, shipping notifications, password resets, and account verification emails.
-
Non-Transactional Emails: These emails are generally meant for marketing, informational, or promotional purposes. They aim to engage recipients, provide updates, offer promotions, share news, or nurture relationships. Examples include newsletters, promotional offers, blog updates, and event invitations.
