Filtering What Content from Your Site Can Appear in Your App

For the Alert Center, Calendar, and News Flash modules, you have the ability to adjust which categories are shown in the app by means of adjusting category-level permissions for the CivicPlus Mobile API (Application Programming Interface) group.

  • To prevent a category from showing its items in your app, remove all permissions from the CP Mobile API group for that category.
  • To allow a category to show its items in your app, assign the CP Mobile API group Owner permissions for that category.
  • If you add new categories within these modules after your initial CivicPlus Mobile setup, you will have to add the CP Mobile API group as an Owner to that category if you want it to display in the app. Alternatively, you can implicitly allow all categories (present and future) to show items in your app by giving module-level Owner permissions to the CP Mobile API group.
