Your website includes OpenGraph meta tags automatically. These tags help platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Slack generate rich previews when your content is shared
OpenGraph Tags
OpenGraph tags are snippets of metadata in your page's HTML that define how links appear when shared. For example, when someone posts a link to your site on social media, the preview shows a title, a short description, and an image, all powered by OpenGraph.
How It Works
There’s nothing you need to configure. For each page, the system automatically uses:
Title: The page title
Description: The page description
Image: An image if available
If a page doesn’t include an image, the system will use the logo from the Organization service as a fallback. If no logo is defined there either, the page will not include an image in the OpenGraph tags.
Note:
You can manage the title, description, and image used in OpenGraph tags directly in the Page Drawer in Evolve. These fields are located in the Page tab when editing any page.
X (formerly Twitter)
X uses a similar system called X Cards, which relies on its own set of meta tags. While we don’t currently generate X Card-specific tags, X’s documentation confirms that OpenGraph tags will be used as a fallback.
This means your links will still display properly on X.
Best Practices
To get the best-looking previews:
Include a relevant image on your pages
Keep page titles short and clear
Write concise summaries in the page description field
Set a logo in the Organization settings as a reliable fallback image
Review and update your title, image, and description in the Evolve Page Drawer
No setup is required. This feature is enabled by default for all sites.
