Connect to the HCMS Using Postman

This is a quick overview of making initial API requests using Postman, a free collaboration platform for API development, and a good place to start integrating into the HCMS.

Instructions

1. Follow the steps in the Use a Client to Connect to the HCMS article

2. Select the Download option at the top of the relevant API documentation to download the OpenAPI specifications

3. Open Postman

4. Import the Swagger specification (just ignore the errors)

5. Open the collection for your HCMS application and use the Query-request

6. Delete the query strings for now

7. Add an Authorization header and copy the access token from the Connect modal for the Client
