Stream Live with RTMP Broadcaster

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your CivicPlus Video site

    Note:

    For Web Central customers, navigate to the Modules menu and on the Content tab, select CivicPlus Video. You will be automatically signed in with your credentials.

  2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner and select Dashboard

  3. Select the Channels tab in the left navigation menu

  4. Click the Channel info icon next to a channel

  5. Copy the RTMP URL and Stream Key under Streaming Settings

  6. Open the Encoder Settings (example used is Open Broadcaster Software (OBS))
    Settings button on the OBS encoder.

  7. Open Stream Details and paste the RTMP URL you copied from CivicPlus Video

  8. Paste the Stream Key you copied from CivicPlus Video into the encoder
    Stream key field.

  9. You should now be able to stream live
    The Stop Streaming button is selected on the encoder live stream screen.

    Note:

    If the streaming is unsuccessful, you may see an error notice.
    Error message displayed in streaming software indicating connection issues with the server.
