Why is my HCMS URL not changing?
Verify:
A Content Type Pattern has been configured
The Content Type has been configured correctly
Content items have been saved or published
Why does my URL include /content/?
All HCMS content URLs currently use the /content/ base path in Web Evolve.
This helps Web Evolve distinguish HCMS content from standard Evolve pages and ensures content routes are handled correctly by the system.
Example:
/content/news/community-update
Why can’t I customize a specific content URL?
HCMS aliases are generated automatically and cannot be manually edited per content item.
URL structure is controlled through the Content Type Pattern configuration.
Why did my URL change?
Updating either the Content Type title or Content Item title may generate a new URL automatically.
Why can’t I save my alias?
This usually occurs because:
The alias is already in use
Unsupported characters are included
The alias does not meet formatting requirements
Why did my alias change automatically?
If auto-generate alias is enabled, changing the page title may also update the alias.
To prevent automatic updates, disable auto-generate alias and use a static alias instead.
Why wasn’t my old URL redirected?
Web Evolve does not automatically create redirects when a page alias changes.
If needed, redirects must be managed separately.
