Meetings

Alt and title text on the Meetings display has been updated to better align with practices around linked icons and handle scenarios where multiple files of the same type are uploaded.

and embedded elements

Force the images to be marked as decorative to improve the usability of our displays by limiting the amount of information users with screen readers need to parse through to get the information they are looking for.

Improved the announcements made in the calendar to provide better context to users navigating with a screen reader.

Updated the Month, Day, and List buttons to indicate which button is active

Sidebar Menus

Expand buttons now have a unique and related title

The active menu link is identified

The button to expand comes before the link in the same line to meet focus order standards

Filter Options

Moved filters with multiple options into a list structure so users with screen readers will know they are entering a list of options and how many items are in the list. Impacted displays include

  • Business Directory

  • Document Library

  • News

  • Parks

  • Properties

  • Projects

Security

Added a Content Security Policy

Image Link Options

Primary images and images in the Image and Text section type can now be linked. There are two new fields available below the image upload fields.

  • URL: Provide the URL to the destination

  • Link text: This is required to meet ADA compliance standards and should indicate where the link will take the user.

Alert Dismiss Button

We have added the ability to control the text in the dismissal button on alerts. Previously, the dismissal button text was hard-coded to “No, thanks”. Staff can now customize or remove the text. When removed, users will be able to close the alert pop-up with the X in the upper-right corner.

Unified Header for CivicPlus Products and Services

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new header for CivicPlus services! Users will soon notice small changes in the color, size, and logo across CivicPlus products.

This update is the first step toward creating a cohesive and seamless user experience across all products in our portfolio.

Key Benefits:

  • Improved Usability: Streamlined design and enhanced functionality improve workflow efficiency and reduce the learning curve.

  • Future-Proofing: This update sets the foundation for consistent enhancements across our ecosystem.
