Link to a File or Webpage in a Free-Form Section

Note that the Free-Form section is also referred to as the Body or Description within a template.

If linking to a PDF...

  1. Find the Path for the uploaded file on the Department homepage Cabinet

  2. Copy the Path URL listed in the third column of the cabinet

  3. Open and edit the webpage, then go to the Free-Form section

  4. Select or enter text, then highlight the text that will be hyperlinked

  5. While the text is left highlighted, In the Edit toolbar, select the Link option

  6. In the Link window that appears, paste the copied Path into the URL field.

  7. Click OK

  8. Click Save and Close

If linking to another website...

  1. Open your browser and go to the actual webpage on the website

  2. Copy the URL path from the URL box at the top of the browser window

  3. Open and edit the webpage, then go to the Free-Form section

  4. Select or enter text, then highlight the text that will be hyperlinked

  5. While the text is left highlighted, in the Edit toolbar, select the Link option

  6. In the Link window that appears, paste the copied URL Path into the URL field.

  7. Click OK

  8. Click Save and Close
