{{glossary.ADA}} Compliance: Focus Order Enhancements

We made enhancements to the following areas to improve the focus order for users with screen readers or those who navigate a site with a keyboard. The primary goal of this accessibility requirement is to allow users to navigate websites in a logical order from left to right and top to bottom.

Business Directory: We moved the sidebar information from the right to the left when viewing a business so the elements that come first for a user navigating via a keyboard or screen reader appear in a logical left-to-right order.
Ordinances: The View All Ordinances link was moved on the backend, so it is a part of the left sidebar and comes before the main content for users navigating via a keyboard or screen reader.
Parks: We moved the sidebar information from the right to the left when viewing a park so the elements that come first for a user navigating via a keyboard or screen reader appear in a logical left-to-right order.

We made enhancements to the mega menus to better work with screen-reading technology like JAWS and NVDA.

792367: Embedded directory listings can exceed memory limits and return an error when large amounts of listings are shown with photos
- Expected Functionality: Embedded directory listings display no matter how many are in the group, with a limit of 50. A link to the full directory is now provided so the user can see the remainder of the group.
798436: Email addresses do not display if formatting is added in the body of a page
- Expected Functionality: Formatting an email in the body of a page should not impact its visibility or the ability to have the obfuscation applied to it.
807783: Business directory listings do not support primary videos
- Expected Functionality: Business directory listings should support both primary images and videos.
808261: Slideshows not opening on mobile devices
- Expected Functionality: Slideshows should work on all devices
677075: Calendar events that extend into the new year do not display
- Expected Functionality: A calendar event that starts in one year and extends into the next should be displayed on the calendar in all applicable months.
