Set Up or Reset a Password

If you are logging in to your account for the first time or have forgotten your password, you will need to reset it to access your account.

Important Note

These instructions are only for organizations who are not using CivicPlus Single Sign-On. If your organization is using CivicPlus Single Sign-On, learn how to Reset Your Password in the Platform.

Instructions

  1. Go to the agency's portal

  2. Click the Sign In button in the upper-right corner of the portal The Sign In button on the CX Test Portal interface.

  3. Click the Reset/setup password link underneath the Sign In fields The Rest/setup password link on the sign in page.

  4. Enter your Email address in the box and click the Submit button Sign in help section with an Email field and a Submit button.

  5. Enter your preferred password in the boxes and click the Create password button Account setup form showing email, password, and confirmation fields with a create password button.

    Note:

    The system uses a password strength checker and will only allow passwords with a high-strength reading. We recommend using a password that is at minimum 8 characters long and uses a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. We also have users who choose to use phrases as well.

  6. Locate and open the confirmation email in your inbox, and click the Confirm my account button Email confirmation for CX Test Portal account with a clickable button to confirm.

    Note:

    The link is only valid for 24 hours. If you are unable to locate the confirmation email, please make sure to check your junk/spam folders.

  7. You will be taken to the regular sign-in page, where you can enter the email address and password you just set up to log in
