Add Conditions to a Form

This article will show you how to add and remove conditions on a form. Conditional logic is used to hide form elements until specific form conditions are met.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your site

  2. Navigate to Forms and select the form you wish to add a condition to The Forms tab in the left navigation menu with a form selected on the page.

  3. Navigate to the Builder tab

  4. Either click Add New Element or select an existing element Form builder with a highlighted element and Add New Element button.

    Note:

    We recommend that you build the form out entirely before you add conditions. View our Create a Form article for more information.

  5. On the element screen, toggle on Show ConditionallyThe Show Conditionally toggle on a form element.

  6. Click Only Show When and choose an option from the drop-down Conditional display settings with a highlighted input field for rules configuration.

    Note:

    The options will populate from the elements already created on your form.

  7. Select the Is One Of or Does drop-down (depending on the element type) and choose an option The Is One Of dropdown for a condition.

    Note:

    The Is One Of option will show for User Selection elements and will populate with the values input for those elements. The Does option will show for Input elements and will populate with have a value and not have a value.

  8. To add another condition, select Add Another RuleThe Add Another Rule button on the conditions section.

  9. Follow the steps above to add the new condition

  10. Choose Match ALL or Match ANYOptions for conditional display to match all or any options.

    • Match All: Requires that all of the rules are met before the element will display

    • Match Any: Will display the element if any of the rules are met

  11. Click Save at the top
