Add Volunteer Opportunities

Learn how to add an opportunity to a Volunteer Organization.

Important Note

Instructions

  1. Navigate to VolunteersVolunteers option in the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click Launch on the Summary tab Launch button in the top right corner of the Volunteers screen.

  3. Click the Profile button in the top right corner Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Choose AdministrationAdministration option in the profile drop-down menu.

  5. Select View on the relevant Organization View button on an organization.

  6. Click Create + to add an opportunity listing Create button on the Opportunities section.

  7. Complete the Add Opportunity fields Add opportunity information fields.

    • Opportunity Owners: Select the owners of the opportunity from the list of Organization Administrators

    • Contact Email Address: Add/edit the contact email address if needed

    • Contact Phone Number: Add/edit the phone number

    • Opportunity Name: Type a name for the opportunity

    • Volunteer Points: Choose how many Volunteer Points the opportunity is worth

    • Short Description: Add a short description that will be displayed to volunteers when searching for opportunities

    • Full Description: Enter a full description if desired

    • Opportunity Address: Add an address for the opportunity

    • Start/End Date and Time: Select the start and end date/time for the opportunity

    • Published Start/End Date and Time: Choose the start and end date/time for when the opportunity will be published

    • Maximum number of Volunteers: Set a maximum number of volunteers

    • Opportunity Categories: Choose an opportunity category

    • Vehicle Access: Specify if volunteers will be required to have access to a vehicle

  8. Click SubmitSubmit button in the bottom right corner of the add organization screen.

  9. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each Opportunity listing you wish to create
