Cancel an Authorize.net EMV (Card-Present) Transaction

After starting a transaction with the payment terminal, the only way to cancel the transaction is by interacting with the CivicPlus Pay Tray Application.

Important Note

These instructions are for existing Authorize.net customers who have already purchased the BBPOS Chipper device. New customers will not be able to take EMV payments.

Instructions

  1. You can cancel a transaction in the following ways:

    1. Click Cancel on the main prompt Payment window displaying a processing charge of $3.00 with a cancel option.

    2. After being prompted for the signature, you can click Cancel Processing charge screen with signature area and a highlighted Cancel button.

    3. Or, you can click the X in the top, right-hand corner, to cancel the transaction Payment authorization window displaying total amount of three dollars and options to cancel or authorize.

  2. After canceling the transaction, you can click Return to ApplicationError message indicating transaction cancellation with a Return to Application button highlighted.
