Cash Drawer Command Setup for Windows

This article will show you how to ensure that the printer sends a cash drawer kick command.

Windows 10 Instructions 

  1. Select the Windows start icon in the bottom left of the screen. Select the windows icon to start 

  2. Select the Settings tab  Select the Settings Gear Icon from the start menu

  3. Select Devices Select Devices in the Windows Settings

  4. Select the Printers & Scanners tab in the left menu.  Select Printers & Scanners from the Devices options

  5. Find the printer you want to configure and click on it.  Select the printer you want to configure

  6. Click the Manage button.  Click Manage to manage your device of choice

  7. Select Printer Properties on the left.  Click Printer Properties under Manage your device

  8. Click the Device Settings Tab on the pop-up window.  Click the Device Settings tab on the Printer Properties menu

  9. Select Cash Drawer under Peripherals; set both cash drawers to document top. 

  10. Select OK 

  11. Click the General Tab. Click the General Tab on the Properties Menu

  12. Click the Print Test Page button.  Click the Print Test Page Button to test your settings

  13. Your cash drawer should open upon printing; if it does now you may need to troubleshoot cash drawer connectivity.
