# Change the Name on Your Account in the Platform

This article walks through how to update your first and last name on your CivicPlus account.

> [!NOTE]
> Important Note
> 
> Users signing through their organization’s [Platform IdP (Identity Provider)](/civicplus-help-center/docs/about-platform-idp-identity-provider-integrations) cannot edit their First Name or Last Name. Their name will default to what is listed on their IdP.

1. > 
> The [Account Service Sign-In screen](https://account.civicplus.com/) is **not** the page you use to log into your CivicPlus solution(s). While the screens appear identical, the websites you are directed to are not the same. You **must use** the [Account Service Sign-In link](https://account.civicplus.com/) to change the name on your CivicPlus account.
2.
