Create a POS Tab for the Catalog

This article will walk through how to create a POS Catalog tab.

Important Notes:

• POS items that track inventory should not be displayed on the public catalog.

• Public users must be logged in to Recreation Management to make a purchase on the public catalog.

Instructions

1. Log in to Recreation Management

2. Navigate to the Configuration tab, then Public View, then select catalog tabs
   

3. Click the Create Catalog Tab button

4. Fill in the fields:

   • Appearance:
     

     • Tab Label: Enter the text that will display as the name of your tab in the catalog

     • Tab Color: Select a color for the tab or leave it as the default

     • Show Internal: Check to show the tab on your internal catalog

     • Restrict to Locations: If set, this tab will only show at the selected locations

     • Show Public: Select to show the tab on your public catalog. POS items that track inventory should not be displayed on the public catalog.

       Notes:

       • POS items that track inventory should not be displayed on the public catalog.

     • Public Page Layout: Choose which layouts to use for the tab

   • Configuration: These fields may vary based on the Tab Type selected.
     

     • Tab Type: Select the Merchandise type from the drop-down

     • Access Groups: Select the group or groups that will have access to the tab

     • Merchandise on Tab: Choose the POS Screen(s) you want your items to appear on

   • Tab Content: Add an item description

5. Click the Save New Catalog Tab button
