Previous Step: Voids and Refunds
The Security Center is where your organization's permissions are set. Your organization can create access groups and assign staff members to those groups.
Video Instruction
Please watch the video to learn about the Security Center. Once finished, review how to apply what you learned in the system before continuing to the next lesson, A/R Center.
When to Use
Access groups and their appropriate permissions are fantastic ways to maintain Control of user access in the system. These can be used for:
Creating a front desk group with limited permissions
Creating manager override codes so they can approve needed overrides for staff
Assigning specific permissions to specific Users if built out properly
How to Apply
While learning how to utilize the Security Center, you may experience areas where you have questions. If you have any questions or run into issues, please keep track of them so your CivicPlus representative may address them.
Please complete the following:
Begin creating your permission groups, but leave everyone as an Administrator until you have all of your permission groups completely set with accurate permissions
Assign users and locations to specific groups, if applicable
Review Permissions settings for your user groups – Remember, Administrators have access to everything
If you wish to assign Permissions to specific users, you will want to create separate User Access Groups named after that user instead of a general catch-all User Access Group
