This article will show you how to obtain the Google Analytics code that we need to insert into your site. It includes information regarding the tracking code and the script needed to start tracking.
Instructions
Navigate to the Google Marketing Platform
Click Sign In to Analytics if you have an existing account or click Start For Free if you want a new account
Navigate to the Admin tab
On the Admin page, under Data Collection and Modification, click Data Streams
Select the Web tab and click on your data stream
Navigate to the Google Tag section and click View tag instructions
Select the install manually tab to see the JavaScript code snippet that you need to copy and paste
Note: We do not need the Tracking ID number, but we need the script that is in the Website Tracking > Global Site Tag box
