Take a Screenshot - MAC, PC

  This article will show you how to perform a screenshot on a Mac or Windows computer.

Desktop Screenshot

  1.     Hold down shift + command + 3 at the same time to take a screenshot    

    Note

    If the volume is on, you will hear a camera sound.

  2.     An image will pop-up on your desktop as a JPEG
    Click these keys at the same time including shift, command, and number three key, to Take a screen shot

Snipped Tool Screenshot

  1.     Hold down shift + command + 4 at the same time  

  2.     The mouse cursor will change to resemble a compass; click and drag the mouse over the portion of the screen you want to capture

    Note

    If the volume is on, you will hear a camera sound.  

  3.     An image will appear on your desktop as a JPEG

    Note

    If you’re using MacOS Mojave or later, hold down Command + Shift + 5 at the same time to pull up the screenshot toolbar and select an area to capture.  

       Click Command, Shift, and the 4 key on your keyboard at the same time to take a snipped JPEG
