Update QZ Tray

In order to update the QZ Tray for your Receipt Printer, you will have to uninstall your current version and upload the new version directly from the QZ Tray site.

Instructions

  1. On your computer, search for and select the Control Panel Use the Search bar on your Main screen to find the Control Panel

  2. Select Uninstall a Program Click Uninstall a Program in the Control Panel

  3. Select the QZ Tray Select the QZ tray out of the Program list

  4. Right-click and select Uninstallselect Uninstall/change

  5. Click Uninstall on the pop-up screen select uninstall to uninstall tray app

  6. Click Close to exit the install window select close after uninstalled

  7. Navigate to the QZ Site

  8. Select V2.2.4 or an older version and download the .EXE file  Select version 2.0.12 to download

    Note

    Rec supports version 2.0.12 and back. Please do not download 2.1 or higher as it may interfere with the performance of the receipt printers.

  9. Open the downloaded file and click NextClick Next on the QZ Tray set up

  10. Click InstallSelect the location for your file and click Install

  11. Click Close once the installation is completeClick Close after Installation is complete

    Note

    If your printer does not work after your installation, restart your printer. If that does not work, restart your computer.
