Viewing Facebook Event Data in your Archive

Facebook Event data is treated as a distinct Facebook content type and is viewable in the Archive in several ways. The Event data is tied to the Facebook page that hosted the event. This article will cover the different ways you can find Event Data in your Archive.

Important Note

Facebook Event capture has been permanently suspended due to the Cambridge Analytica situation. Facebook does not support third-party app access to event data, including comments.

Under the Browse Tab

  1. Navigate to the Browse tab:Navigation menu with browse tab highlighted.

  2. Select the page owner's name in the left column:Select Account Owner From list.

  3. Select the Facebook page in the middle column:Example Facebook account.

  4. Select the View button on either Event details or Event discussion in the right column:Event details options View button.


Under the Search Tab

  1. Navigate to the Search tab:Navigation tab with the Search tab highlighted.

  2. Click on the Advanced Search tab:Advanced Search tab.

  3. Click Clear to the right of the social media icons:Clear hyperlink option under content types section.

  4. Click the Facebook Page icon:Facebook page icon.

  5. Check Event Details and Event Discussions:Event options Facebook page advanced search.

  6. Click the Search button in the lower left:Search button.

  2. Click Event Details or Event Discussion in the menu on the left
