Copy an Asset

Important Note:

This feature only works on point assets. It will not work on items that are lines or polygons.

Who can use this feature?

You must have the ability to create an asset in order to copy an asset.

Best Practice

Copied assets are created behind the scenes. To review all your copies, turn on the appropriate layers in the asset map or main map, or visit the query screen.

Instructions

1. Sign In to Asset Management

2. Select the asset you want to copy

3. Click Copy
   

4. Click New Copy
   

5. Click the location on the Map to place the asset
   

6. Click Save
   

7. Repeat steps 5 through 6 to create multiple copies of the same asset

8. Close the Copy Asset modal
   

9. Click the Map action menu
   

10. Check the asset type box in the Legend to view the copies on the map
