Create and Manage Maintenance Plans

View Maintenance Plans for an Asset

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Search for the Asset

  3. Click the Maint. Plan tab
    The Maintenance Plan tab to the right of the Documents tab.

  4. View the existing maintenance plans
    A Maintenance Plan in the Maintenance Plans table.

Create a Maintenance Plan

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Search for the Asset

  3. Click the Maint. Plan tab
    The Maintenance Plan tab to the right of the Documents tab.

  4. Type a Title
    The Maintenance Plan Title text input field.

  5. Click the Create New button
    The Create New Button, to the right of the Base Event Selection table.

  6. Select an Event Type
    Event Type options.

    Note:

    Event Types available will vary depending on the asset selected

  7. Complete the Event Details
    Maintenance Plan identification, status, scheduling, and miscellaneous text input fields.

    The event details options will vary depending on the Event Type selected

  8. Click the Use This Template button
    The Use This Template button below the Event fields.

  9. Click the Change Schedule button
    The Change Schedule button, to the right of the Schedule Selection button.

  10. Select a Schedule Type
    The Schedule Type dropdown in the first section below the Recurrence Form header.

    • Fixed: The event occurs at a regular interval based on the calendar

      • Examples: Every Monday or on the 1st day of each month

    • Floating: The event is scheduled based on the completed date of the previous event

      • Example: A piece of equipment needs to be serviced every 30 days

  11. Click the calendar icon and select a start date
    The Start Date calendar icon and the date selection calendar.

  12. Select an end date
    The End by Calendar icon and date selection calendar.

    • End by: Click on the calendar and select an end date

    • End After X Occurrences: Set the event to end permanently after it has occurred the specified number of times

    • No End Date: The event will recur indefinitely

  13. Select a frequency
    Schedule frequency options.

    Note:

    The options available will change based on a Fixed or Floating Schedule Type

    • Daily

      • Every X Days: The event will happen every entered number of days

      • Every weekday: The event will happen every weekday

    • Weekly

      • Recurs every X week(s) on: The event will happen every entered number of weeks on the selected day of the week

    • Monthly

    • Yearly

      • Recur every X year(s): The event will happen every number of years

      • On <month> <day>: The event will happen on the chosen day of the chosen month

  14. Click View Schedule
    The View Schedule button below the Recurrence Form calendar.

  15. Click Select Schedule
    The Select Schedule button below the Schedule Search results.

  16. Click Save
    The Save button below the Note field.

Delete a Maintenance Plane

  1. Click the Asset tab
    Asset tab in Asset Management.

  2. Search for the Asset

  3. Click the Maint. Plan tab
    The Maintenance Plan tab to the right of the Documents tab.

  4. Select a maintenance plan
    A Maintenance Plane in the Active Schedule column.

  5. Click Delete
    The Delete button above the Maintenance Plans table.
