Linking Outside Documentation

You can link to external websites or internal resources on your asset or event records. For example, you may wish to link out to warranty information or a manual on a manufacturer’s website.

How to Link Documentation

  1. Log in to your system

  2. Navigate to your asset

  3. From the asset or event record, click the Documents button:An asset with its Documents tab highlighted.

  4. Click the New Document button:An asset's Documents tab, with its 'New Document' button highlighted.

  5. Click Create Hyperlink:A new asset document's 'Create Hyperlink' button.

  6. Enter the URL in Link URL:A document's field for adding a Link URL address.

  7. Click the Save button:The document's 'Save' button.

  8. To open the link, click the row for the document you just created:The newly created document's link row.

  9. Click Open Link:The 'Open Link' for a linked asset document.
