Chat with CivicPlus Athena

You can interact with CivicPlus Athena by typing a message into the Conversations user interface. CivicPlus Athena has several features to assist users, such as:

  • Product Knowledge: Integration with the CivicPlus Help Center enables CivicPlus Athena to provide guidance and links to articles in our knowledge base.

    • Example prompt: “Find me an article about managing users.”

  • Staff Center: CivicPlus Athena can manage Users, Groups, and Organization security settings.

    • Example prompt: “Enable two-factor authentication for my organization.”

  • Municipal Websites Central: CivicPlus Athena can create and manage News Flash and Alert Center items, including viewing and adding Categories.

    • Example prompt: “Create and publish an Alert on my website.”

  • Online Code Hosting: CivicPlus Athena can research and summarize content from published municipal codes and ordinances.

    Example prompt: “Research municipal codes and ordinances related to short-term property rentals.”

  • SeeClickFix 311 CRM: CivicPlus Athena can see assigned issues, follow, and comment on issues.

    • Example prompt: “Show me 311 issues that are assigned to me.”

Important Notes

  • CivicPlus Athena is currently in Beta. Contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.

  • CivicPlus Athena can only act using the signed-in user’s permissions. If an action is attempted for which the user lacks permissions, Athena will alert the user.

  • CivicPlus Athena can only assist with applications that are available to your organization. If a user attempts to interact with an unavailable product, they will receive a relevant reply.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to the Staff Center

  2. On the Dashboard, click into the chat box and type your prompt

  3. Review the conversation and respond/provide additional information, as needed
